Lawn bowling is a great outdoor sport that's perfect for Southern California's weather and outdoor lifestyle!
A sport for all ages, it's simultaneously both social and competitive.
An international sport, in which bowlers begin participating as teenagers in much of the world, and sometimes even earlier.
The Santa Anita bowling greens are located in Arcadia County Park in Arcadia, California --
on the west side of Santa Anita Ave. just south of Huntington Drive, one-half mile
south of the 210 Freeway's Santa Anita exit.
There's convenient free parking next to the greens.
Or take the Metro -- we're just a short walk from the Gold Line's Arcadia station.
Santa Anita is one of only two clubs in the United States with four greens.
Two of our greens have lights for night bowling. Club members have access to the greens for bowling whenever they wish.
We always welcome new members; after only one or two lessons you're ready for social bowling.

There are about 30 lawn bowling clubs in Southern California.
Because we're the only California club with four greens, we're often chosen to host large tournaments
such as the annual Southwest Open for both men and women bowlers.
Bowlers come to the Open from all over California and the rest of the US, and sometimes from other countries as well.
The bowler pictured above, at the 2017 SW Open at Santa Anita, is Jonathon Ross, who came to the Open from
Scotland with his teammates. Jonathon began bowling in Belfast at the age of 14.
